The atmosphere at Nutmeg is warm and inviting, perfect for a peaceful lunch break or a friendly catch-up session. Customers frequently rave about the cafe's intimate ambiance, where the buzz of conversation harmonizes with the hum of espresso machines—a true testament to its popularity among locals.

Transitioning from the bustling street to this hidden gem feels like stepping into a world of culinary delights. As you peruse their menu, the Hot Drinks selection offers something for everyone—from the frothy indulgence of a Latte or Cappuccino to the refreshing lift of Fresh Mint Tea or Lemon + Honey Tea. But your taste adventure doesn't have to end with drinks; Nutmeg’s food menu is equally compelling, featuring crowd-pleasers like the succulent Mediterranean Beef Burger and robust Lamb Shawarma.

For a unique twist, be sure to try the Egyptian Falafel or indulge in a hearty plate of Homemade Thick Cut Chips. One reviewer delightedly described their experience with crispy potato skins that are nothing short of addictive—an essential choice for anyone looking for a snack that truly satisfies.

The feedback from customers speaks volumes; Lee mentions how the “relaxing place for lunch” serves “very good coffee,” while Joanne Court highlights the “beautiful food” paired with “lovely staff.” With each review, the unanimous appreciation for both the food and service shines through, making Nutmeg more than just a stop for lunch—it’s an experience. Rory adds that he appreciates the “quiet calm atmosphere” and fresh, tasty food that isn’t afraid to pack a punch in terms of spice.

If you manage to visit during peak hours and face a full house, consider their convenient takeout option. As another customer pointed out, it’s small, but that’s part of its charm—a cozy eatery where you feel like part of a community.

Everything about this place is amazing. Food is incredible, service top notch and the place itself very warm and inviting. It's a real pleasure to have this place in Wolverhampton and if you were to make one criticism it's that it's small and can be difficult to get a seat... If so, take out is available. But that really is picking faults for the sake of it. It's a gem of a place and deserves to be supported and to grow.

I've visited Nutmeg 5 or 6 times now and love the quiet calm atmosphere. The food is always fresh and tasty. If you request spicy you do actually get spicy. The crispy potato skins are addictive. My last visit I had the Egyptian omelette, crispy skins and some stuffed vine leaves all of which were excellent. The menu is very reasonably priced and I can eat a good, filling, fresh lunch with a cup of tea for around a tenner. Please support this small eatery, it's a gem of a place in a wilderness of fast food chains and fried chicken takeaways.

This is a lovely little cafe/bistro tucked away in a little alleyway on the side of the Mander centre. Staff are welcoming and friendly. As a family-run, small independent eatery, this is a delight. Food is cooked to order, fresh and tasty. The Mediterranean menu with dashes of the Middle East, combined with the eclectic decor, creates a warm, charming environment. It does feel like one is transported to the Med!
